Children’s Hospice Association Scotland Charity Work

We support CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) by recycling all of our used printer ink cartridges and mobile phones. You can join in helping CHAS to raise over £7million needed annually to provide their hospice services by recycling iPods, DVDs, digital cameras, games consoles, ink cartridges and mobile phones.

The National Trust for Scotland Charity Work.

Andrew and Stephen both have membership subscriptions to NTS and Skylight also donate to the NTS Footpath Fund. The Footpath Fund raises money specifically for mountain conservation. Our mountains are loved by so many (including our accountant, Stuart, who has climbed all 283 Munro’s!) yet cared for by so few. They need more people to donate and volunteer in order to ensure the long-term care of Scotland’s mountains. Area’s under their care include ;  Ben Lomond, Ben Lawers, Grey Mare’s Tail, Torridon, Kintail, West Affric, Goatfell, Glencoe, Mar Lodge Estate.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice Charity Work.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

Skylight support events organised by The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice as often as they can.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice exists to help their patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. They offer care in the hospice or at home, should the patient prefer it. They offer physiotherapy and occupational therapy and complimentary therapies, helping patients to maintain independence, gain relief from pain and perform day-to-day activities which their illness may have made difficult or impossible. They also provide counselling and family support at all points of a patient’s illness.

The actual cost of Hospice care is some £4.2 million each year. That means they must raise around £10,400 every working day, just to keep the doors open!
